I find myself at a crossroads, facing various tracks and many paths... yet what drives my choice of path are the convictions built over a lifetime—a life filled with challenges, losses, and gains, through which I have painstakingly laid the foundations of who I am.
I hold fast to the belief that there is light in this world shrouded in shadows and mirrors. Without light, there is no truth, justice or charity. I want to believe there are others who also believe in the light—others seeking, at this crossroads, a path leading to complete love, peace and the wisdom to know that the feeling coursing through my veins is the true wealth one carries beyond the end.
Living is the art of the possible, interwoven with investing in "who we are" while preserving the "self." Sharing our feelings and navigating hardships together is the key to a long journey toward building a complete love. Balance lies in the teachings of the science of peace—better known as patience—and in the mutual understanding that one plus one is more than two. What each soul feels and needs must be shared to foster mutual understanding.
Without the trust required to share what defines us, the union of two souls can never be complete. Understanding what matters to the other opens the door to a merging of selves and the shaping of a future defined by "us." By believing in the truth—in what we feel and intuit—the heart opens despite the risks; for only then does the crossroads transform into a paved path.
In life, no paved road can be built without a solid foundation (truth and trust) and a well-compacted sub-base (respect and convictions), leading to the binding agent that makes the journey smooth and free of obstacles (love and understanding).
In this way, the crossroads of the soul—despite the difficulties and constant changes it presents—becomes a fusion of moments, feelings and life itself found in the simple act of being together; this act transforms chaos into peace and paves the way for charity toward the world.
To love is to care... to feel... to suffer... to grow... to evolve... nothing is easy... yet it is harder not to live and empty not to love. In the end, we build a whole that fades from the flesh but remains eternal in the soul. All we take with us is the love we experienced. All that remains behind is the ephemeral, the ordinary and the valueless—tangible material possessions.
Thus, the resolution of the crossroads lies in the intangible. At the very core of life, charity elevates the soul. Sharing it with another soul and with the community—united as we walk the path of life through joy and sorrow—leads to an evolution from "who I am" to "who we are." Ultimately, the certainty of having lived true peace through love and action grounds the assurance of having fought the good fight and of the soul's eternity.
Believe in yourself, in your beliefs, and in the path to peace your soul reveals to you. Listen to your inner voice; tune out the external world that numbs the senses and turns you into a mere reflection of others. Always remember that we are never truly alone and that the crossroads exists within us, born of our own free will.
We always reap what we sow; plant charity and charity shall be given to you. What truly matters is knowing that true love was lived—timeless, intense, and enduring—shared with those we love, and carried, in the end, into eternity.
